#241					So what’s happening between the newly grown-up Albert and the now all-female Sorceress? Not surprisingly, sex. But also, we learn a little more about the background of the world, and the extent to which humans can do magic. This will lead to an all-important revelation later. Things are coming together, slowly…
#240					Returning to the faerie and Little Attitude. The younger Attitude is a character I have a lot of affection for, especially considering what’s going to happen to her in the future that will turn her from this candid little thing into Jaycee’s almost-malicious companion whom we’ve all come to despise.
#239					Those of you members who read Bloomin’ Studio! will know that little Albert (played by Maxim) has had a growth spurt. Poor Jaycee has been having a hard time figuring out how to re-introduce him as an older character into the strip. Combining this with a request to show what had been happening to the Royal Sorceress, I came up with this strip–and a twist that puts “things” in the right place.
#238					I figured it was time for Heather to start job hunting, but for a good while couldn’t figure out how to make that happen. She wouldn’t KNOW how to do that with certainty and it wasn’t like her faerie would know much more about how humans live (nor would she care). So how was I going to put Heather on a path to get a job? Reverse psychology, of course!
#237					I don’t plan on showing Thane for another good while. It’s hard for me to find many stories featuring him (plus, I don’t find him very sexy), but I can never quite seem to be able to leave him alone either. I was struggling a bit with the script for this strip. The first two panels were kind of fun to write, with the faerie going all fangirl on Thane’s curse (we’ll eventually find out more about that aspect of her), but I was having a hard time closing the strip on something funny/sexy/punchy. And then inspiration (and old memories) hit me. Back in college, some neighbor at the dorms had a sticker posted on his door that said “Peter Longcocke,” followed by some crass comment about his ability to satisfy the ladies, then “(group rates available).” (That wasn’t his name, it was just some joke from a lady friend.) I thought this would be a great sign to post at the entrance of the Willing Wench. Once I had that, it wasn’t to hard to figure out the rest. (Their names are, from left to right, Reddy, Willing and Mabel—all suggestions from Wondollar, which I’m recording here for posterity.)
#236					Having established what Thanification is, this was a good opportunity to show a roster of all the females that have undergone the process. It turns out I missed one, that already-busty lady in the market who went down on Thane. If she looked like THAT before Thanification, can you imagine what she looks like now? But putting that aside, ever since we did that catch-up strip with a roster of Heathers, I’ve realized readers really love to see lineups of cute/odd/sexy females. This one hasn’t turned out to be quite as popular as the Heathers, but it’s gotten a lot of comments, so it can’t have been a failure either.
#235					Back to Heather. In the past, I’ve hinted that the women who have slept with Thane seem to like sex more after their transformation. I’ve always known they had super-sexy bodies with sexy bits that constantly feel raw and needy, but never really established it clearly for the readers. I decided it was about time to make it clear. Now if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll also remember that Heather’s “dress” is made of jute, which is really, REALLY itchy fabric. That must mean her overly sensitive nipples nipples are being constantly stimulated… I don’t know about you, but I like the thought…
#234					I had a standing request to show Marie, who’d been absent for a little while. I sometimes struggle a lot when it comes to showing certain characters and I wasn’t too sure what to do about this one. With all the sex she’d had, I thought she deserved a break, so I wanted to find something else. Then it dawned on me that she was probably due for a good scrub (no pun intended, if that even qualifies as a pun). What better place to do that than the baths? But who would be there? Well, having only shown public baths for men only, I figured I could reuse those, except I’d put a bunch of confident females who had taken over the place. Obviously, that would be Nadia, Patience and Karma (last seen together). And from that, the situation wrote itself. I’m kind of happy of how it turned out.
#233					As is the case with all post-Thane treated bodies, Heather’s new body (the nun’s) is pretty responsive to sexual stimulus. Apparently not something the faerie is aware of or expecting.
#232					Of course, switching Heather out of her body doesn’t mean we won’t keep up (a little) with what’s happening to the nun who’s inherited her old body. It’s a pretty sexy body, after all, and it’d be a shame NOT to take advantage of it.
#231					I felt oddly relieved after writing this script, like I was starting with a clean slate. Over time, Heather’s original body got so messed up with so many curses, I hadn’t realized it was getting complicated keeping it all in my head. Having her move to a new body (for a while) is going to give me a chance to clean things up. I plan on keeping her in that body for a good while–hopefully long enough that I have an excuse to return her original body to normal when she gets it back.
#230					There are two sides to that story: 1) we get a clue that Heather and Agnes really have swapped bodies, not just switched appearance; and 2) the Cooking Twins make a cameo appearance, courtesy of a generous donor on Patreon (sponsored appearance).
#229					This particular strip was challenging in ways I didn’t expect at first. If you read the script, it refers to (in panel 4) Heather-as-Nun wearing a burqa. There was no intent (at the moment I wrote it) to make any kind of comment about the women that wear the burqa, but I started wondering if it might not be too culturally charged to even use it here. I discussed it with Wondollar and we agreed it might be delicate, so we went for something else instead. That something is going to tie into Mirror’s background and origin, but we’re not going to start telling that story just yet. It will become clearer later, but I want to wait so it has a bit of a stronger impact when it’s done.
#228					For a moment there, it sounded like Heather was going to complain about something. Then she thought better of it and decided to go with the flow.
#227					Aaaand there we have it! As part of the Patreon rewards, there’s a patron who gets to choose a character to feature in the strips every month. His request was the nuns (technically, I could have forced him to choose only one, but I don’t think I can actually separate those nuns), so here they are! And now, Heather is going to get to walk around as someone else, and perhaps experience life a little differently…
#226					More revelations from Heather. I’m almost feeling some sympathy for her. And it looks like the faerie might have something in mind to fix that. At this point, I know what’s coming next, though the specific “shape” remains to be determined.

#222					What do you do when the target of your spells starts enjoying them too much? You take away the good part, of course. This was a complicated strip to figure out because there are three things happening at once: the conversation between Mirror and the faerie, the sex happening next to them in the bedroom, and how this affects poor (real) Marie, near the Wizard’s lab. I _think_ we got it right, but I’ll let you be the judge.

#218					Closure to the Thane story arc, at last. This goes back to an old, OLD stip, originally illustrated by RR Pennell, in the early days. I always knew I’d bring Thane back there some day, but it’s taken me a LONG time to get to it. And yes, from the moment Lara was introduced, I knew this was gong to be the conclusion, though I’ll admit not giving a LOT of hints about it. But here we are, and now, Thane’s out of the picture for a good while.
#217					Part 3 of the Carrot Series. That’s the last one, I promise. No more carrot jokes for a while. You would THINK Gus might want to have a nibble, but I guess he’s just not into that sort of thing. Maybe he and Bert have more in common than we think… Addendum: some astute readers caught us on this one. After the inversion of Ernest and Bertrand in strips 215 and 216, it should have been Ernest walking next to Gustav. But by now, neither Wondollar nor myself were paying attention to that, and so NOW we’ve got the right characters in the right place, except it looks a little odd after 215 & 216. Ah well. Little foibles of quick strip production… 🙂
#216					Part 2 of the Carrot Series. Has anyone noticed the “joke” about the two thugs (i.e. about their names)? Bertrand is never named in the strips, so only you guys know the inside that’s going on here…
#215					Part 1 of the Carrot Series. I’m not sure if anyone but me will find this funny, but I was on a roll and couldn’t quite stop after the first joke. Addendum: at sketch time, there was a communication snafu and we ended up switching the character roles. Ernest was supposed to be the one talking about the ex-girlfriend, but it’s Bertrand doing it after all.
#214					This was a surprise twist for me. I hadn’t intended for Gus to be pulling the cart. My original thought was that Lara was going to leave Thane with the two thugs and ride on, but Wondollar drew it this way (kind of makes sense, when you think about it). Immediately, I realized Lara wouldn’t be escaping and instead decided she’d have herself bound so she wouldn’t come on to the two idiots (who clearly aren’t good at following don’t-have-sex-with-me instructions). It’s not a great move on her part, but hey, it’s bound to lead to something fun, right?
#213					We’re going back to Sir Thane and Lara. This thread has been going on for too long, I think it’s time to wrap it up and close it. Next few strips should explain who Lara is, where she’s from, and WHY she’s been chasing Thane all this time. And this ties into a strip that’s about 3 years old… Can you guess what it is?

Okay, I don’t know about the whimsy part, but she doesn’t take the easy road, as you’ll see in the next strip…
#203					And so begins Mrs Patricia’s slow descent into depravity… This “thing” (table grinding) seems to be a thing in Japan. There are plenty of videos that feature this, all of them Japanese. I’ve found a few non-Japanese ones, but they’re just oddities. Anyone knows why that’s the case?

#201					Some spells last longer than one might think. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep this one alive or just go straight to Lurker gathering spiders, then decided to follow the good old webcomic rule: if you’ve got an idea, use it, don’t let it go away. When you’re going to hit that inevitable writer’s block, you’re going to regret letting it slip. So here we are. I’m referring (in the script) to two pictures: Marie Orgasm Reference and Heather Orgasm Reference. I’m curious to see how Wondollar is going to render those. 🙂

#199					These days, I think I’m enjoying the exploration of the twins story again… except in this case, there’s a twist. I suspect it’s going to make reading more difficult, but I rather enjoy the idea of Mirror Marie’s speech to be inverted…
#198					Sometimes, I write things before thinking them through completely. And sometimes, that puts me in a corner, which forces me to come up with something I didn’t really plan or expect. In this case, I thought it’d be cool to bring up another Marie twin, then realized I might have gone in the wrong direction. After all, I’ve done it in the strip before, so what would THIS one bring that’s new. So after an hour of staring at a blank page, it finally hit me. This is a mirror image, not a copy, which meant… Yup, two things. You’ll see. And I think it’s going to be an interesting thread.
#197					I struggled a bit with the pacing of this strip. I wasn’t sure how to split the panels or make it interesting. It’s mostly a monologue, so I decided for 2 panels and just let the images speak for themselves.
#196					Yes, the amulet is still there, and yes, it still works as expected. Which means if Lara touches it, she becomes temporarily immune to Thane’s magic. What happens next is pretty obvious, I think.
#195					More about the innkeeper’s daughters. And about one of Lara’s thugs. A bit predictable, but I like to look at them. And I’ve decided to name them Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. (Can anyone guess what the wife’s name is? C’mon, that’s an easy one…)

Gotta keep the suspense a little. 🙂
#137					The Royal Wizard doesn’t feel like himself anymore. I’ve been meaning to do this to him for a LONG time, but only now got around to it. This should be… fun? Well, probably not for him, but we should enjoy this.
#136					Having done some chemistry, our Golden Faerie now finally gets to use it–on our friend the Royal Wizard. Apparently, the results are funny.
#135					We’re going back to the Golden Faerie and the kind of mischief that she brings along. She’s a character I’ve long wanted to spend some time writing about, but there was just too much to do with the other ones. It’s her turn, now. I really like the way she’s absolutely cheerful about everything she does and everything that happens. Nothing seems to bother her.

#133					This script took me an unusually long time to write. I had some problems with creating a smooth flow from #132 to this one, especially since they were back-to-back. After staring at a white page for over an hour, I finally realized Heather, in her usual selfish way, would not want to… um… be left hanging. So she does what Heather does best and gets people to do what SHE wants.

I figured I should go with 2-3 strips with the same characters to help everyone better follow the narrative. In the case of this particular strip, I turned out not to like panel 4 all that much (after seeing the roughs), so it got changed a little (as was the title). The girl-on-girl position they are in will just have to be reused in another strip at some point…
#124					Princess Heather, not surprisingly, isn’t happy at finding two women having orgasms in her bedroom. After all, only SHE is allowed to have orgasms in there, right?

I’m planning some kind of “ta-daa!” moment for Strip #127. #114					I’ve been realizing that the narrative around Marie and the Lurker has gotten complicated. Maid Marie was a pudgy woman once made beautiful by the mirror, then returned to normal. Now she’s back to being sexy, thanks to Sir Thane’s curse, but a lot of readers are getting confused by the introduction of the “Lurker” Marie, who’s been transformed into Albert’s memory of Sexy Maid Marie thanks to an unstable potion. I figured it was time for a little exposition to clarify things. Plus, a little faerie mischief on the side.

• Script 112: “I Could Do This All Day” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Let’s catch up with what our Lurker friend has been doing.
• Script 111: “A Faerie Good Question” [ROUGH] — What would you do if you were in Marie’s place? Exactly what SHE plans on doing. Seize the day!
• Script 110: “The Cooler Purple” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Finally, we find out WHO is the lucky devil who gets to test Albert’s last (purple) potion. Who knows what will happen next, and if that’s going to lead to some payback? I do…
• Script 109: “Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Now that Thane’s out of range, our lovemaking trio (Nadia, Patience, Lucky) are back in their right minds. How do our girls feel about what just happened? [Update: During the final part of the strip, Wondollar couldn’t make the balloons work out in the original placement, and ended up swapping Patience and Nadia’s dialogues. Turns out it worked out just fine.]
• Script 108: “Failed Perception Check” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — I struggled a bit with this one, but I think it came out all right in the end. I wanted to have some kind of interaction between the Wizard and the Golden Faerie, but I also wanted to have him realize the potions were gone. In the end, I thought it’d funny to end it the way I did. I LOVE how Wondollar drew the faerie in Panel 3. There’s a “TADAAA!” feeling to it that makes Panel 4 funnier (well, for me, anyway).
• Script 107:”Feeling Frisky Much?” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — I’ll probably explain this further in some other area, but Lurker-Marie doesn’t just have a sexy body — he has the female body Albert (unconsciously) was thinking of when he drank the potion. That comes with one of the characteristics Mirror had implanted in that body: strong libido and constant horniness. So poor Lurker is going to have some problems with his urges for a while. This is going to lead to a small series of (I hope) funny situations featuring him/her.
• Script 106: “Seriously. We Went There.” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — With a character like Baby around, it was only a matter of time before this kind of joke got told. I’ve been resisting doing “Baby” jokes, but this one just came out. 🙂
• Script 105: “Role Reversal” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — I’ve been holding on to this little twist ever since the Potion of Virility +1 affected the noblewoman. The image of what was going to happen next just… POPPED in my head, and now I get to share it with you. Aren’t you feeling privileged?
• Script 104: “Nude Awakening” [ROUGH1] [ROUGH2] [VIDEO] — I don’t know why, there’s something about Lucky that just makes me want to embarrass him. I don’t think he’s SUCH a bad guy, but he’s kind of a tool. Or maybe I’m building up his good karma so that good things EVENTUALLY happen to him? I don’t know yet… 🙂 After reading some reader comments, however, I felt a bit of remorse at how I’ve been picking on him, so Wondollar proposed a softer (and, in my opinion, funnier) version of the strip, which we eventually chose.
• Script 103: “What Could POSSIBLY Go Wrong?” [ROUGH] — Time to confess: this floating caption w/arrow is a tribute to Brad Guigar’s Memo (a sentient Post-It note) from his “Evil Inc.” comic. This said, the “character” is fundamentally different and I wanted to move things along a bit so the comparison with Memo wouldn’t go too far.
• Script 102: “ReMaid” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Most readers have undoubtedly figured it out, but this is where we confirm exactly WHO She-Lurker turned INTO. And if you add Strip #100 to the mix, surely that means some mischief ahead, right?
• Script 101: “Some Threesome” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — What have Nadia, Patience, and the male guard been up to? Thanks to Thane’s influence, they’re having a threesome — of sorts.
• Script 100: “Happy Ending?” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — I’ve long wanted to come back to this thread. And yeah, TONS of readers have called it — it was pretty predictable as an event, but I hope the treatment will make you smile a little.
• Script 99: “Been There” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — She-Lurker now discovers the additional side effects of the body he’s in: extreme sensitivity & arousal. All together now: “Awww…”
• Script 98: “Dream Girl” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — The unstable potion of Gender Morphism starts taking effect, and now we see the results for the first time. And (I hope) they’re not what you might expect… Considering what’s happening to Marie at the “hands” of Sir Thane, this might stir up things in an interesting way…
• Script 97: “Missing the Obvious” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — This strip was bitter-sweet to write. As it often happens in life, we just don’t notice the people who pine for us. I kind of feel bad for doing this to poor Baby…
• Script 96: “Have a Little Patience” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Nadia, Patience, and Lucky (that’s the male guard, right?) engage in a threesome? A 2.5-some? A something-some!
• Script 95: “Test Subject” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Let’s see what happens to our poor Lurker next…
• Script 94: “Baby, We Were Born to Run” [ROUGH] — Back to Marie. I think I’ve put this this thread off for so long that most people have given up on this happening, but I feel we’re finally there. Let’s give Marie some good old-fashioned luvin’.
• Script 93: “Ignore the Man Behind the Curtain” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — A little bit more on Lurker. The situation kind of reminded me of an old, classic joke (the boy and the priest hidden in the closet), and I just felt like giving it a Bloomin’ Faeries flavor. 🙂
• Script 92: “Less Jism, More Fism” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — We’re introducing “Lurker,” the winner of the 2nd anniversary contest.
• Script 91: “Coming Through” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — It wasn’t exactly planned, and orignally the noble woman was just a throwaway character, but this bit just popped into my head. And now, I kinda want to see where this is going.
• Script 90: “Not So Widdle Anymore” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Finally, a small cameo from Heather, who’s been gone for a long time. Considering she’s (supposedly) the main character of this strip, I felt it was time to bring her back for a little scene. But no update on her “magical status,” as it were. Still, it’s good to see her again, and to remind everyone of how much of a bi-atch she really is.
• Script 89: “It’s a Virtue…” [ROUGH] [VIDEO] — Finally, we reveal what the name of the female guard actually is. I don’t know why, the scene just makes me smile.
• Script 88: “That’s a +1 Potion All Right!” [ROUGH] [VIDEO 1] [VIDEO 2] [VIDEO 3] [VIDEO 4] — Where you get to find out what EXACTLY does an unstable Potion of Virility +1 does to people…
• Script 87: “Celebration Good Times, Come On!” [ROUGH] [VIDEO 1] [VIDEO 2] [VIDEO 3] [VIDEO 4] — Our little prince is clever. So is our new friend, Helpful Caption.
• Script 86: “Yellow… Goodbye!” [ROUGH] — Just in case it wasn’t clear, these potions may not work QUITE as planned. DUM DUM DUUUUUUUUM!
• Script 85: “It’s Called Marshmallow Hell” [ROUGH] — Let’s resolve a few things, here: Baby’s breast size; Baby’s height; and Baby’s face.
• Script 84: “It’s the Thought that Counts” [ROUGH] — Patience and Nadia hit it off. And a bit of fan service, at long last, courtesy of Lucky’s dirty mind.
• Script 83: “Thirsty, Anyone?” [ROUGH] — The Wizard hasn’t had much magic to do since I began the series, and every time he’s done it, he hasn’t been very successful. These potions MIGHT redeem him… Except that Albert might come in and mess things up.
• Script 82: “Cooking for Dummiez (and Orkz)” [ROUGH]– I’ve had a very pretty strict “no-penises-no-fluids” policy for the strip in general. And I’m certainly keeping to that on the main page, that’s for sure (who knows what the future holds for the member strips). Having said that, however, I wanted to see if I could use the reader’s imagination as a canvas for something a bit more graphic. I’m sure you’ll all visualize SOMETHING when you read it, though I’m not sure it’ll be the same thing for everyone.
• Script 81: “Muffins on the Menu” [ROUGH] — Dammit, I wrote this strip with an idea in mind, and I thought it’d be unpredictable and funny and witty and all that. And the moment strip #79 got published, someone in the comments section went ahead and made that EXACT suggestion. But it’s too late, the strip is written, and I’m NOT taking it back. So there. Good on you if you guessed it.
• Script 80: “Beats Using a Narrator” [ROUGH] — This is a combo strip. I wanted to start a new arc with the Royal Wizard, with him trying to fix his son’s “problem” and ending up creating about as much mischief as a rampaging faerie. Also, I wanted to introduce a little “character” that’s been on my mind for a bit: The Sign. You’ll see.
• Script 79: “Maybe Just a LITTLE Attention” [ROUGH] — I’ve really been meaning to develop the story of Patience and Lucky a little bit. I don’t know why, there’s something really interesting and challenging about these two characters, so my mind keeps coming back to them. I seem to be having this need to torture them a little bit more, and perhaps to settle some scores in a more satisfying manner… We’ll just have to see, won’t we?
• Script 78: “It’s Ale-Thirty” [ROUGH] — Another return to Patience and Lucky, the two guards at the castle gates. I keep wanting to go back to them because there’s a story there that wants to be told. At some point, I DO want to explain how those mega-breasts fit into this very compact breastplate. 🙂
• Script 77: “Vegetables Are Your Friends” [ROUGH] — This is a follow-up to strip #60, which happens with Thane in the marketplace. I liked the two ladies with the carrots and always felt like I should do a follow-up gag on it. At the same time, I owed a cameo to two contributing artists (from the last Art Contest we did), and wanted to return to Marie a little. So this strip is a combo of all three. I’m rather happy with it.
• Script 76: “My Cheri Armor” [ROUGH] — I really wanted to do this gag for a while, but didn’t want to do it the same old way. So then, I decided to make some changes about the blacksmith, and this is the result.
• Script 75: “From the Corner of My Mind” [ROUGH] — I was suffering from a serious case of writer’s block, which is very unusual for me. I wasn’t quite sure which story thread I really wanted to get into, and was a bit paralyzed, until this little bit hit me. And now that I see the rough, I dunno… Kinda gets me.
• Script 74: “Like Aidan, Reversed.” [ROUGH] — I’d love to say I was REALLY smart and witty, and that Aidan’s new name was a brilliant gag that I thought out a year in advance. Truth is, it’s just a fluke. I thought of the gender-swap only a month or two ago, and noticed the name thing just a couple of weeks ago. I got a kick out of the bodybuilding posing, though.
• Script 73: “And Again, And Again…” [ROUGH] — Everyone’s been patient about Baby and Thane. We’re getting back to those two…
• Script 72: “Ch-Ch-Changes” [ROUGH] — This strip was tricky to write. I knew what the storyline was going to be, but I really almost came back on my decision and went somewhere else with it. There were some suggestions of futa that were somewhat interesting, but at the end of the day, it’s not really something that thrills me, and I stuck with my original plan. Aidan IS going to get his confidence back, and it WILL come from Heather.
• Script 71: “A Little Yin, A Little Yang” [ROUGH] — The Royal Wizard has never been seen casting spells, and I really wanted to get into that at some point. He DOES know magic (and some powerful spells, too), but his judgement is not entirely sound. As Aidan is about to find out.
• Script 70: “Hail to the handkerChief” [ROUGH] — I never really had much of a chance to delve into Aidan’s past or his ACTUAL personality. The truth is, Aidan’s confidence was never the result of his good looks. Heck, his good looks aren’t even the result of great genes or tremendous physical training. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s first resolve this little crisis of confidence he’s having…
• Script 69: “Like Mother, Like Daughter” — So if you have orgasms every time the church bell rings, what does your daily life look like? Also, it’s an opportunity to have Wondollar throw in new funny-looking characters, something I always relish. 🙂
• Script 68: “Biological Clock, Faerie Style” [ROUGH] — The faerie’s work is done, and we (readers) start reaping the benefits already. I’m sure by now you’ve all figured out this is a link to the PortalComic strip.
• Script 67: “Baby LIKES!” [ROUGH] — When Baby sees something she likes, she just goes for it. Which, in this case, doesn’t bode well for our friend Sir Thane.
• Script 66: “Divine Retribution” [ROUGH] — I wanted to revisit a bit the female guard and her lecherous male colleague, just because I didn’t want to leave things hanging after their sex session. In particular, I felt I should establish a few things about her and about her relationship with the guy. And now, I find myself wishing I’d given them names… 🙂
• Script 65: “You Can Ring My Be-E-Ell!” [ROUGH] — Aaaand back to Heather. This is a continuation of the setup that will lead to the beginning of the PortalComic series.
• Script 64: “Help Fight Homelessness! Call Now!” [ROUGH] — We’re going back to a heartbroken Aidan, with a guest appearance of Heather’s faerie. Time to get started on another curse or three…
• Script 63: “Nope, Still Cursed” [ROUGH] — I wanted to reprise a “classic” Thane strip to bring the new readers up to speed on another aspect of his curse: the vulgarity. Also, I wanted to confirm to everyone that yes, Baby isn’t attracted to Thane, and it’s not because his curse has gone away.
• Script 62: “Orks Have Feelings Too” [ROUGH] — See what happens when you tell an ork female that she’s not pretty. And yes, the more observant among you have noticed that she’s not attracted to Thane the way human females are. More on this next strip.
• Script 61: “For Thou Art a Double-Bagger” [ROUGH] — Continuing with Sir Thane, we see his bright intellect (and generous heart) at work.
• Script 60: “THAT I See” [ROUGH] — Back to Sir Thane, and some of the mayhem that trails behind him. Gustav truly is a loyal friend!
• Script 59: “Over Not So Easy” [ROUGH] — I wanted to delve a little bit more into Aidan’s personality, which I think will surprise a few. This will tie into a storyline (upcoming) about the kind of man he *really* is and the origin of his “curse.” Note that the line “Heavy” in the 2nd panel was removed from the final version because it just detracted from the natural flow of the narrative. At least I thought so… Also, notice that the title also changed.
• Script 58: “Really, Really Sorry!” [ROUGH] — The title says it all. The roughs came out SO dramatic that even though I knew this was coming, it kind of touched me a little…
• Script 57: “I’m Sorry…” [ROUGH] — Back to Marie and Albert, Mirror takes action to split up the two before the magic runs out.
• Script 56: “Keep Moving Those Hips, Hunny Bunny” [ROUGH] — This one turns out to be relatively controversial because of the female guard’s surprise. It DOES settle the debate as to whether Sir Thane or Gustav is the smartest one of the two. 🙂
• Script 55: “It’s Like Twister, With Sex!” [ROUGH] — I always work very hard to mingle sexy and humor. This one features more banging of Heather (by Aidan, though we don’t see him), and also plays up the mischievous nature of the Royal Wizard.
• Script 54: “That’s Gonna Be Awkward.” [ROUGH] — We return our attention to Albert and Marie (and Mirror and the faerie). I’m SO thrilled at how panel 3 came ou. I wanted to have something a bit more romantic and intimate than just sexy, and Wondollar’s art did not fail to deliver!
• Script 53: “Is That a Breastplate of Holding?” [ROUGH] — Big things come in small packages.
• Script 52: “Perhaps If You Looked Harder…?” [ROUGH] — Sir Thane shows up at the gates, much to the delight of ONE of the guards.
• Script 51: “Bearer of Bad News” [ROUGH] — The Royal Wizard makes a phone call for help.
• Script 50: “Meet Big Brother” [ROUGH] — Heather gets penetrating insight into Duke Aidan’s gear. (Yeah, that’s horrible innuendo. I know.)
• Script 49: “…DARY!” [ROUGH] — Albert and Marie make a LOT of noise. Also, cameo from a character from LONG AGO!
• Script 48: “It Will Be Legen… Wait For It!” [ROUGH] — Our friendly faerie and Mirror are in a betting mood! And neither is willing to play by the rules. Albert and Marie get victimized some more. 🙂
• Script 47: “Blows and Counterblows” [ROUGH] — And now… back to Albert! And Marie! Additional note: I didn’t think Marie’s face came out quite right in panel 4, so I asked Wondollar to make some changes to it. I think, in the end, it turned out much better.
• Script 46: “Frak Me!” [ROUGH] — Heather starts REALLY losing it. Struggled a bit with the humor on this one. In the end, because I really wanted to focus more on the sexy-sexy part, I decided to just end on a Battlestar Galactica reference. When the final version came in, I noticed that Wondollar did something with Aidan’s last line, which I thought was genius. It really helps carry the joke.
• Script 45: “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.” [ROUGH] — Back to Albert and Marie, and a little harmless “kissing.” How many more weeks before the actual sex act, you ask? Come on! Let’s get through the foreplay first… Though I have a strong feeling neither female (Marie or Heather) are going to be very patient, with their engines so revved up! The original title was “Swell. Just Swell.” but ended up being renamed based on a reader’s suggestion. Thanks for the idea, I think it’s much funnier than what I had in mind.
• Strip 44: “What’s Behind Codpiece Number One?” [ROUGH] — It’s about time to get started on giving Heather some Aidan love, wouldn’t you say?
• Strip 43: “Handy Support” [ROUGH] — It’s now Duke Aidan’s turn to be the vicim of Mirror’s pranks. Although I’m not sure he minds. Nor do we.
• Strip 42: “It’s Got a Mind of Its Own!” [ROUGH] — We get to see a little bit more of Buff Heather, the Wizard, and Duke Aidan. We probably see a bit TOO MUCH of the wizard, but I promise it’s all clean. 🙂
• Strip 41: “Growth Splurt” [ROUGH] — Albert, v2.0. Now ready for action! Send me title ideas!
• Strip 40: “The Hottest of Them All, You Said.” [ROUGH] — Marie, v2.0. So Mirror DOES have a twisted, sexual imagination after all… And sure, we see a bit of Albert, and foreshadow some sexy stuff, but don’t worry, NO PEDOPHILIA! 😀 (Wondollar’s alternate title for this was “Maid You Look,” which I thought was pretty good, but I had my mind set on the current one.)
• Strip 39: “A Miss Amiss.” [ROUGH] — A bit of fan service to femuscle fans out there, and we learn a bit more about Duke Aidan’s sharp wit. Another title by Wondollar.
• Strip 38: “Maid to Order.” [ROUGH] — And you thought Marie was just an ordinary maid. Oh no siree, she isn’t! (Another hint of things to come.) I was a bit in a rut for titles, so I asked Wondollar if he had suggestions. That’s kind of where I got the idea to (now) put it to the members.
• Strip 37: “Chicks Will Do What Chicks Will Do.” [ROUGH] — Mirror is having more fun. Sure, it’s not sexual THIS time, but no worries, it’s going to heat up!
• Strip 36: “Any Volunteers?” [ROUGH] — A bit of foreshadowing about what’s going to (eventually) happen between Aidan & Heather. But let’s pace this a little… 🙂
• Strip 35: “Twice the Fun.” [ROUGH] — A bit more about Duke Aidan’s “little” secret.
• Strip 34: “May I Suggest Squeezing a Bit.” [ROUGH] — Something was going to happen (in the background) involving an altar boy, but some helpful soul reminded me that I should stay away from certain combinations of genders and age groups.
• Strip 33: “Kay Aye Ess Ess Aye Enn Gee” [ROUGH] — Strange things happen at Mass.
• Strip 32: “Keeping it Real, Sister!” [ROUGH] — Mirror gets a little more magic.
• Strip 31: “A Secret Fetish?” [ROUGH] — The many faces of Heather are revealed!
• Strip 30: “And I’m Feeling Good” [ROUGH] — Because I just wanted to see how Heather would look with even larger boobs… 😀
• Strip 29: “Epilogue” [ROUGH] — I’ve been wanting to do a “Two Faeries Talking” scene for a long time. Guess this tricky storyline was the perfect moment for me to do it… And while the title is “Epilogue,” it really isn’t the end. We’re just closing THIS thread.
• Strip 28: “Meet the Parents” [ROUGH] — I really struggled with the arrival of Duke Aidan. What sounded like a GOOD idea at the time had me stomped for a whole week. I really fell behind schedule on this one, but I think the punchline is worth it.
• Strip 27: “A Hero’s Welcome” [ROUGH] — Duke Aidan shows up. (Who? McSteamy in a plate armor, that who!)
• Strip 26: “Is This Body Still Under Warranty?” [ROUGH] — More Heather nudity. Sort of.
• Strip 25: “The Naked Truth” [ROUGH] — Things don’t go quite right for Albert.
• Strip 24: “RTFM!” [ROUGH] — Heather’s hands are exactly where we want them to be.
• Strip 23: “It’s All About Sharing, Right?” [ROUGH] — Because faeries never quite do things the way you’d expect.
• Strip 22: “Unwrapping the Gifts” [ROUGH] — What would YOU do if that happened to you?
• Strip 21: “As You Wish” [ROUGH] — Sometimes, you shouldn’t wish for things.
• Strip 20: “Faeriespotting” [ROUGH] — A faerie shows up. Not something you’d expect in a strip called “Bloomin’ Faeries!” right?
• Strip 19: Still flirting with the line on borderline behavior. But honestly, from Heather’s perspective, there’s absolutely nothing sexual going on there, it’s purely devious. As for Albert, well… 🙂
• Strip 18: I had fun with this one. I wanted to trick both Heather and the reader into thinking this was FORCED upon Heather, but was actually something she was doing herself. Not sure if the point gets across.
• Strip 17: Finally! The Breast Expansion scene we’ve all been waiting for!
• Strip 16: Heather gets devious again. And Albert isn’t quite the gullible pushover we might have thought him to be. Also, Heather’s Hands are somewhat setup to be the “voice” of the readers. 🙂
• Strip 15: Having figured things out, we now know what’s on Albert’s mind. It’s what’s been on ours for a long time. 🙂 Also, I absolutely ADORE his pose in panel 3, and his expression in panel 4!
• Strip 14: An exercise in no-dialogue writing. I wanted to see if I could convey the story without writing a single word. I think the result is great, though the art reuse worried me — would the readers object? Also — FIRST COLOR STRIP BY WONDOLLAR!
• Strip 13: The goal of this strip was to highlight that once she’s accepted a situation, Heather can be pretty unphasable.
• Strip 12: I think there’s something very perverse and dirty about this strip, though the art itself is impeccably clean.
• Strip 11: Heather is having one HELL of a good time! I love how Wondollar drew her in panels 3 & 4!
• Strip 10: FIRST COLOR STRIP! Colors by Minx Wanted, a fan of the strip who volunteered to do this job! Sure, Heather may be annoyed by her roving hands, but on the other hand (no pun intended), they KNOW what they’re doing…
• Strip 9: Last black & white strip. I always love to see Heather playing with herself. Also, panel 3 was tricky, because of Heather’s butt being so close to Albert — we didn’t want to make it look like he was… *ahem* y’know, “interacting” with her. 🙂
• Strip 8: This is, to this day, one of the BF strips that has been drawn the most. Originally merely a test script to give to prospective artists, I had created this as “The Line.” This was going to be as far into sexuality as I was going to go. I later pushed things a bit over that line, but for the longest time, this was the sexiest I wanted to make the strip. I have since gone into more nudity, but I still try to keep it classy. It should be noted that Wondollar re-drew this in his style when he took the Heather storyline, but this strip was originally drawn by RRPennell himself.
• Strip 7: This is the last time we hear about Heather’s hypersensitivity due to the faerie’s “little gift.” I realized there were TOO MANY things going on, and let this one slip away.
• Strip 6: Introduction (for a short while) about Heather’s oversensitive nipples. Also, while (like all of us) she was perturbed at seeing her parents having sex, she’s still a pretty sexual creature in private, and enjoys sex.
• Strip 5: No humor or punchline here, this was just a setup for the next segment.

Sir Thane (RRPennell; 2010-04-10 @ 2010-08-02)

• Strip 20b: This remains a work in progress. We may see it yet…
• Strip 20a-ALT: This was an alternate version for #20.It’s not the one we ended up using (not as funny, harder to figure out because it referred to the very early strips).
• Strip 20a: This was the first of what was going to be a series of one-panel gags involving Sir Thane’s curse.
• Strip 19: This was the last “public” appearance of Sir Thane and Gustav. The intent was to move them to the Members Section, but that never became a reality. Sadly, RRPennel’s professional and personal engagements in real life prevented him from continuing the comic.
• Strip 18: This strip doesn’t exist. #17, which was color, counted as two.
• Strip 17: I really loved the new look of Helga and Brelga, and wanted to see them get cuddly. But this was a bit too hot for the main page, so it went to the Members’ Area instead.
• Strip 16: I didn’t want Thane’s curse to be ALL bad. In addition to the women lusting after him, I wanted something that would turn the ugliest woman pretty — this way, we could have more sexy women in the strip (and a good reason for women to flock to him).
• Strip 15: My apologies for the HORRIBLE pun, folks. I just couldn’t resist.
• Strip 14: This is probably my LEAST favorite strip of the whole lot. I had always meant BF to be a fairly clean strip, in the sense that sure, characters were having sex — but it was never overly explicit or raw. That strip went a bit over the line, and it took RRPennell a LOT of work to make it work.
• Strip 13:I’m not sure if people figured out why Thane was covering his eyes. It isn’t out of fear, but because he has orgasms every time he sees naked women — it doesn’t matter if they’re as ugly as the twins!
• Strip 12:This is where we introduce the fact that women get automatically aroused around Thane. A generally very popular curse, but in this case, not so much.
• Strip 11:I realized the squirrel and the tree wouldn’t make great characters, so this is when I decided to drop them. Richard would make a later appearance, but I don’t think he’ll be returning, ever.
• Strip 10:I realized around that time that there were too many things happening to Thane, and I should explain the curse. So I dedicated a whole strip to it. In hindsight, I got my lesson: not so many curses, and have milk them a bit more instead of stacking them.
• Strip 8-9:I tried introducing two new characters: Richard and the Tree. That would soon prove to be a mistake.
• Strip 5-6-7:This lead-up to Strip 7 was important. I had given that particular strip a lot of thought and couldn’t wait to see what it would come out like. I was amazed at how RRPennell was able to nail it perfectly!
• Strip 4:The faerie is FINALLY going to put a curse on Thane. About time!
• Strip 3:It’s a very cliche gag, but I’m still fond of it. Sue me. 🙂
• Strip 2: In RTF, no less! I hadn’t discovered Celtx yet, so it was a bit more work to get the formatting right. In fact, I didn’t. My writing was a bit more detailed & specific, something I tried correcting over time. I’m sure it made the artist’s life miserable to have so many details to pay attention to!
• Strip 1: The strip that started it all. (Actually, that’s NOT true. The first EVER strip was of Princess Heather, used as a test to select the final artist for the webcomic.)
