She Wrote Back

As I mentioned, I sent Morgan a response on behalf of Jaycee. Honest, I’m just looking out for him! It went a little bit like this (and by “a little bit,” I mean here’s a cut-and-paste):

Dear Morgan,

I’m glad to hear from you. You’d really disappeared off the face of the earth! I was worried something had happened to you, but there was no way to find you. I’d given up on hearing from you. How long has it been? Where do you live now? Is everything all right?

You mention you’d like to see me. I’d like to see you too. I’d like that very much. But it’s complicated, now. I had a girlfriend when we last saw each other. Things didn’t work out after she saw… us. And now, I have someone else. I’m a little worried about how she’d react if someone from my past resurfaced. Especially someone who looks like you! So maybe we could chat for a bit? Online, I mean? And maybe just for a little while, just long enough that I can bring it up with Mandy (my girlfriend) and she doesn’t freak out. Would that be all right? You can find me on Skype; my ID is [withheld]*.

Write back!

–Jaycee

I think that sounds like a good Jaycee, don’t you think? I can’t wait to hear back from her. And if we start chatting, maybe it’ll evolve into sexting, too. If she’s into that, I think I’m going to ROCK HER WORLD! (You may not know this, but I’ve been hitting a lot of erotic chatrooms in the last few months, and I’ve gotten pretty good at this, if I do say so myself.)

You just wait and see.

  1. o_o … I’ve been hearing and reading about, and dreading the arrival of artificial intelligence for a while now. I never imagined the horrors inherent in artificial stupidity until this day… With all those curses the unknown faerie slapped on Morgan and the fact that she had access to Jaycee’s home address when she was still his boss, I’d be pleasantly surprised if she doesn’t just turn up on his doorstep and maul him right in front of poor Mandy’s eyes.
