I am not sure of Jaycee’s gender but most sexualized web comics I seen are made by guys and most straight guys find two girls together hot but two guys together a turn off. So I tend not to consider two girls together in a sexualized way gay if it is done for straight male arousal.

As a bi woman, I always found the double standard to be a bunch of BS. I like me a little man on man entertainment, what’s good for the goose is certainly good for the gander. So I applaud you for going there even if it’s not your particular cup of tea. There aren’t a lot of folks out there willing to depict both sides of the coin when they are only drawn to one specific side of said coin.
You have just moved up several notches as an artist and visual entertainer in my book.

We had Patience and Nadia, the short nun “spreading the gospel” back at the convent, Heather and the converted lurker, plus a few borderline cases like Heather and the shemale sorceress, and the noblewoman who tasted Albert’s spiked wine and sprouted a “plus one gender more fism” which she later turned on her husband.
This is, however, the first clearly male-on-male situation we’ve seen firsthand. So it’s a turning point of a sort. In our own world, with two roughneck characters like these, the realization of what happened often turns to violence later; we can only hope things are different in the land of whatever it’s called.
Yeah, there’s going to be some violence, but not the way you think. 😉 But for sure, it won’t be the kind of social violence you’re referring to. There’s enough of that in the real world and Bloomin’ Faeries! just isn’t about that.
I think the salient point in this strip is that Gus is observing that the nude Sir Tristan is showing the #1 sign of being more interested in what they’re facing than he’s letting on. This is probably just his continuing curse, or then again, maybe not.
I didn’t get that at all. I ran through a series of completions for Gus’s comment: “You appear quite — attractive”, “– chafed”, “– spent”, “– confused”, etc without any one of them standing out as more obviously correct than the rest.
You got this one right. Sure, Thane is always “at attention,” but there can be degrees of “attention” and Gus (who’s quite familiar with his master’s… hardware?) is able to tell the difference. And yeah, Thane seems to be… affected by what he’s seeing a bit more than he’s willing to admit.
Well, Thane did say “HOW ROMANTIC”. Maybe he doesn’t want to think about the fact that he might want to be a catcher once in a while instead of always being the pitcher.

And Thane probably is standing at attention. From memory his purple helmet warrior will always be standing tall as part of his curse… possibly there was something in there about him getting a respite after putting the bomb in the barrel.
Whatever the case, he’s certainly not going to discuss his feelings about the situation considering his language issues.
His pants were armor too weren’t they? He already lost those which is the reason he took Lara’s pants which led to this situation. In other words I think he’s ok with leaving his armor behind to escape a bad situation.
Hmm. If Thane is predominantly — though still a closeted — homosexual, that adds another dimension of torment to what the first faerie we saw at the start of the comic did to him.
And a curse can be something you enjoy. It would just be too much of that thing you enjoy to the point where you dread it or hate it. Thane’s curse has him getting jumped by women at every turn with really no breaks in between. It’s also not just attractive women, it’s ugly women as well but they do become attractive when they are done with Thane.
