Sidenote: I had a rather creepy thought about all the sex-hexing which is probably – most likely – wildly inaccurate.
It could all be about attrition.
Think about it; the faeries hex folks, turn them into hyper-attractive sexbombs who everyone wants, a lot of sex ensues — and at no time does anyone seem to get pregnant. If faerie magic effectively sterilizes the people it’s used on or just functions as a preventative, yet makes those same people the object of just about everyone’s desire, then they are preventing procreation from taking place.
The more people obsess over the ‘prettified’ specimens incapable of reproduction, the less kids are born, until finally humans die out and faeries inherit the world(s).
Yeah, I know, it’s wildly unlikely. The thought just occurred.

I’m not an authority on comics, but I think the applicable iconography is tiny multicolored stars and spirals to indicate disrupted mental function as opposed to Xs on the eyes which imply death.
