I’m not sure excessive smarts would be something you want in a guard to be honest. Hours of standing in one spot, with nothing happening most of the time? A clever man might get bored and distracted. A dumb one would stick at his post. As long as the dumbasses are managed by a smarter officer or NCO, I think they’d do fine.
Reminds me of the classic “stupid guard” trope, subverted heavily (and brilliantly) in “Titan A.E.” by Joss Whedon to foil the Trojan Prisoner ploy:
Guard: You’re lying! He’s not a slave and you’re not traders. He doesn’t carry himself like a slave! Look at the way he stands… probably ex-military. They would if Lucky had the code words stay with him and never figures them out. As Heather would be pretty much the only woman able to reliably get him aroused. Of course this would also be dependent on another woman not figuring the code words out and decides they want Lucky.
Ironically i got a friend to start reading this comic, and while she was reading it, i used it as a chance to start over too, and i had forgotten how she normally looked, lol.

1)__Remind me now, does this spell permit Lucky to learn how these 2 words affect him, or is this knowledge blocked from his awareness…?
2)__There’s no visual cue that we’ve seen to indicate that she’s “connected the dots”, & now knows the 2 key-words’ power over him. She may be planning to ask that fairy for help, or maybe she just has so much faith in the attractiveness of her borrowed body.
3)__If she knew for certain what those words can do, would she want him to know, or would she rather use them to manipulate his passions, as Karma-&-Patience have done before?
Yes, she has given it some thought, & come up with an idea, but we’ll have to wait-&-see if it’s the right idea. A wrong conclusion may very well lead to some entertaining mishaps.
