I wouldn’t say it’s that common but it’s definitely gaining ground. I know it’s certainly more easy to come by now than when I first got into it. I think a lot of people like it because it can be a lot of fun as long as you don’t take it to seriously and just enjoy it from the fantasy or role play perspective of it.
