As you may have seen, I’ve written a script for #413 and sent it to all Patrons. Even though we haven’t reached the $500 per strip target to make the comic weekly, I’ve decided there was enough support to start doing the strips on a monthly basis, starting with #413. I will therefore start charging once the comic is done and published here. In order to build a bit of a buffer (and make it more interesting for all backers), I intend on producing several strips ahead of schedule, then return to a monthly pace until we reach the $500 goal.
I’m also being asked fairly frequently about the backlog, so allow me to clarify why it’s gone and staying gone (for the time being anyway). In the IndieGoGo campaign, some very generous backers paid a significant amount to receive the backlog for their personal use. Seeing as they paid for this, I don’t think it’d be fair if I made it available to everyone for free. That said, there’s a reward tier (Faerie Trainee, $2 per strip) that allows you to receive the occasional batch of backlog strips on a regular basis. If you’re interested in the backlog, you can gradually get it there.
I’m pretty excited about where the story is going to go. Heather is going to have some interesting adventures for the next little while. Stay tuned!
