The first cover for my ebook Self-Satisfaction (Book 1 of the “Claire Clayworth Loses Control” series) was rejected by Apple as inappropriate. I had it redone and, again, it was rejected. Admittedly, it was a bit too graphic and that broke a few rules. So I had it redone a third time, and I think third time’s the charm!

So here they are, in all their glory. This kind of hotness should not be hidden from view.

Hey everyone,

I only VERY RARELY promote other webcomics through articles, but this one is important to me. It’s called HEROES WITHOUT BORDERS, and while it’s a superhero story (and those have been done to DEATH, right?), I think you’ll like how different from the norm it is. It’s written by Lucien Soulban and (for now) illustrated by Brazilian artist Daniel Oliveira Martins.

The comic follows the story of Chain-Spider, a broken superhero on a quest to find out what happened to her. I can’t say too much (don’t want to spoil the surprise), but the writing is excellent and you’ll find this to be a great read.

Hi,

You might not have known this, but I had an account on Patreon. It was bringing in a tiny bit of money every month, but it was ever-dwindling. It had some interesting rewards (some of which were special advertisement, or access to exclusive comics), but the most interesting was that for $25 a month, you could purchase the right to select a cameo for a character of your choice. This is why, for example, Choppy the Pureheart Warrior was introduced (long-time supporter Choppy, a regular reader, had earned this for being such a stalwart supporter of the site).

After a bit of tinkering, I found a way to *kind of* replicate this perk using the digital downloads section. For the month of November, I’m making TWO cameos available to anyone who’s interested. Here they are:

These are for EXISTING CHARACTERS ONLY. No character is off-limits–I welcome the challenge. For NEW characters, I may once in a while make a special package available, but for now, I want to focus on the characters that I already have.

Though my face was squashed against the hood of my car and I was looking the other way, I knew Minx and Attitude were looking at me through the windshield.

“My poor Jaycee,” Minx said, “he’s going to get hurt.” She paused, thinking for a moment. “Again,” she added.

Attitude shrugged. “Serves him right.”

“Attitude,” Minx pleaded, “you have to help him out!”

“I really don’t,” Attitude said, shaking her head. “It’s bad enough you shared your name with him, so now he’s mostly immune to my spells, but to ACTUALLY help him? I don’t think so.”

Minx hugged the older faerie, resting her head on her shoulder and giving her her best puppy eyes. “B-but… for me? PLEAAAASE?”

Attitude sighed. “All right, but there’s one condition.”

Minx nodded rapidly. “Anything,” she said.

“You use his phone to record this.”

Minx flew over and carried my phone, which was obviously a bit heavy for her.

“Sure,” she said, “but why?”

“Because,” Attitude said with a predatory grin, “what I have in mind will make a great post on his web page.”

“Oh… okay.”

Attitude flew out the window and stood above the female officer.

“As for YOU, Miss Ladycop, you have one of the most stuck-up auras I’ve read in a long time.” She cracked her knuckles, ready to get to work. “Let’s fix that.”

Book 11 in the “Torment of Nicole Swan” series is long overdue and I must apologize for the delays. Issues in real life (blame the faeries!) have prevented me from working on it as diligently as I would have wished.

It’s coming up, though, and as proof, I’d like to offer a preview of the cover. And also an excerpt (that probably needs another pass of editing, but I hope blood will flow to your genitals and you won’t notice the mistakes).

Madison was finding this flirting tedious and hoped the payoff would be worth it. Then, she felt a wave of dizziness and stumbled forward, catching herself against Viktor’s chest. He wrapped his arms around her and she felt an erotic shiver course through her. She stifled a whimper and pushed herself away from him.

“Sorry,” she said, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “Low blood sugar, I guess.”
