A Little Update

I’ve been pretty silent the few weeks because there just hasn’t been all that much to talk about. The new job is panning out nicely, and the folks I work with (when I’m in the office, twice a week) are very easygoing and laid back. We’re doing children’s books, after all. (And before you go off calling me names because of the Albert thread in the past few weeks, rest assured that my work there is irreproachably pure and chaste.) And my colleagues are fairly conservative (they’re also on average a good ten years older than I am). It’s nice to be working in a totally non-sexual atmosphere…

Here’s what’s going on with the various people in my life: Continue reading “A Little Update”

Faerie Dust, Of Course

I’m sure a lot of you have already figured this out, but the salt-and-vinegar flavored powder that we used in the popcorn when Jenn & Jed were over was not COMPLETELY free of some faerie additives. This morning, when I confronted Attitude about it, she fell over laughing at how hilarious the whole thing was (in HER eyes, anyway). Continue reading “Faerie Dust, Of Course”

Jenn & Jed

Jennifer and her boyfriend Jed were here last night. We watched a few episodes of a giant robots show she’s fond of — something called Symbionic Titan (I might not be spelling that right). It’s really a pretty cool little show, but from the way he was ogling her boobs, I could tell Jed was’t that interested in it.

I can’t blame him — she’s got very “oglable” boobs. Continue reading “Jenn & Jed”

Seeing Right Through Her

Goddammit!

Morgan is parading around the office today, wearing a thick sweater and a long skirt. That’s fine for everybody else, but *I* can see she’s not wearing any panties or any bra. I can also tell she’s getting aroused whenever she catches me glancing at her. She’s been giving me these predatory looks that just mean I’m in trouble or something. Meanwhile…

The last week, a flurry of women came in and out of my apartment like there was a shoe sale or something.

Lana has been visiting me regularly. Part of it, I think, is her suspicion that Brooke (who’s been at my place a lot, of late) might have set “her” sights on me. Since Lana doesn’t know much about Brooke, it’s easy to get the wrong idea. I’ve been ignoring the issue, in the sense that I don’t make a bit deal of Brooke when in front of Lana, but I’m pretty sure there’s going to be some kind of fight about this in the future.

Then, there’s Mandy. She’s been coming to my place a lot because she’s begun “cleaning up” her old journal, which she says she wants to publish in small installments in the forums. Also, she comes here to meet up with Brooke, to teach him a bit about “being a woman.” Since we’re all pretending that Brooke has ALWAYS been a woman, and has just been hypnotized to THINK he was a man, Mandy is saying she’s just there to “remind her how to be a woman.” Continue reading “Meanwhile…”

My Crazy Life (Update)

Just a quick update for those of you who’ve been following my crazy life:

  • Morgan hasn’t hit on me in a bit over two weeks, but she’s constantly giving me that “vibe” that it’s going to happen again soon. She stares at me when she thinks I can’t see her, and sometimes, after looking me for a long time, she “excuses” herself and locks herself in her office. I can easily imagine what she’s doing in there.
  • No news from Meghan. Good riddance there. As for Brooke, he still leaves the occasional message, but I keep ignoring them.
  • Continue reading “My Crazy Life (Update)”

Jennifer’s New Look

Antony and Officer Frank had a big palooza at their place tonight, and I was invited. It’d been a long time since we’d gotten together, and with the chaos of my life recently, I thought it’d be great to change crowds for a while. (I keep some of my groups of friends separate for just that occasion — Antony & Frank aren’t in the same circles as Brooke, Barrett, Meghan, and the wilder people I’ve been hanging out with of late.) Continue reading “Jennifer’s New Look”

A “Deflective” Curse

Well. It looks like I made a big mistake yesterday. Justin’s curse didn’t affect him the way it was planned. More on that in a second.

You may recall the barbecue party incident from last week, and the resulting chaos that followed. Jennifer finally called me back to let me know she was all right (“I’m back to normal,” she said). She was very apologetic for her behavior at the party and couldn’t quite figure out what came over her (or why she got suddenly so “bloated in the chest,” as she put it). I never told her about the faerie, but after what she went through, I felt  it was time to ‘fess up. So I suggested we hook up for brunch on Saturday morning, at a cool breakfast restaurant near her place. It’s a place where we’ve gone several times in the past, and we kind of have our favorite table, which the waitress always gives us when we come in. Continue reading “A “Deflective” Curse”

Faerie Dust and Meat Burgers

On Sunday, with some personal friends and a few colleagues from work, we had a barbecue at my place. It was a disaster, of sorts.

My secret intention was to setup Jennifer (whom I’ve known for almost a decade, and who’s a little sister to me) with Antony, a colleague who’s a great guy and shouldn’t have been this single for this long (although it all makes sense NOW). I personally hate setups like these (when they happen to me; otherwise, they’re a blast to organize) and I didn’t want their first meeting to be awkward, so I went all out. Forty-or-so people, tons of meat and munchies, booze, loud music, decorations — the works. Continue reading “Faerie Dust and Meat Burgers”
