If you’re an artist looking to increase your visibility at minimal cost, our Art 4 Ads program may be what you’re looking for. Our system allows you to trade on art piece in exchange for 4 weeks of exposure using a 125×125 ad of your choice.
Here’s how it works:
- Once a week (on Thursdays), Bloomin’ Faeries! will display a new artist’s contribution through a blog post. The art itself is linked to a web page of your choice.
- At the same time, the artist’s 125×125 ad goes into the Ad Stack (a green-framed advertisement area in the left sidebar of the blog). That ad too is linked to a web page of your choice.
- Existing ads in the Ad Stack get pushed down by one; since the Ad Stack only contains up to 4 ads, the one at the bottom (the fifth ad) gets pushed out.
This means that you are GUARANTEED at least 4 weeks of advertisement on the site, at NO COST TO YOU other than providing original art. Since there may not ALWAYS be Thursday updates, if we skip such an update, you get an extra week of exposure for free.
There’s more good news: if you feel like contributing several weeks in a row, you get multiple ads in the Ad Stack.
CONTRIBUTIONS
You’re probably wondering what we’re looking for in terms of contributions. The answer is simple: whatever you want, so long as it has SOMETHING to do with Bloomin’ Faeries! It can be a portrait, a full character, a mini comic strip, in B&W or color — it’s YOUR call! But since this is also a form of advertisement, bear in mind it’s the sample by which our readers will assess your skill, so we encourage you to make it look good. (Plus, we like to show pretty art!)
TERMS & CONDITIONS
There are a few conditions surrounding the kind of art you can submit, and the rights for this art. Please read the following terms & conditions carefully.
- The art must be relevant to Bloomin’ Faeries! In other words, it must feature a character from either the comic strip or from the blog narrative.
- Because this is a free contribution, you (the artist) retain ownership of the art. You do not, however, have any claims on the characters or situations depicted; those remain the property of Bloomin’ Faeries. You may sell your art in digital form, but may not represent it as part of Bloomin’ Faeries, nor can you use the Bloomin’ Faeries! logo or name. You may NOT sell the art in any form other than digital (no t-shirts, no mugs, etc.) while making claims of representing the Bloomin’ Faeries! brand. (This all means you just can’t tell people “buy this, it’s from Bloomin’ Faeries!”)
- Bloomin’ Faeries has no right on the art itself. This means we CANNOT use it in any way other than in the blog post in which it’s published. We cannot make t-shirts, mugs, posters, etc., without your express authorization.
- Finally, we reserve the right to cancel this program at any time, without notice. If we choose to do so, we will stop the Thursday updates, and remove one ad from the bottom of the Ad Stack every week, until all ads have received their 4-week minimal exposure.
- We reserve the right to refuse unsolicited contributions. Please contact us PRIOR to starting any kind of art so we can discuss if it’s appropriate for Bloomin’ Faeries!
