Not to worry unless the church is run by a sociopath. Church bells ringing in meievil times was for times of prayer but latter on they told the hour. The fancypants types had them ring on the quarters since they could afford either the clockworks or the people to ring them. Unless Jaycee’s church is a source of punishment the bells should only ring from dawn to dusk – have to keep tose serfs in working order ya know.

I have to admit, I did not know that. I always associated nunneries with… well, nuns. And the male counterparts were monks & monasteries. I did not think that there were male nuns. I’ve done a very quick web search and found no indication of that. If you’ve got a reference, I’d love to read it.
But yeah, that WOULD open up interesting possibilities. 😉
